We just got a call from the cardiologist (see previous blog entry regarding QT intervals), who said that nothing bad turned up during James's 24-hour monitoring. Whatever might have been going on with his heart when he was sick has now disappeared. Just for fun, we're still going to the other, more specialized pediatric cardiologist in a couple of weeks, so that she too can tell us don't worry, James is fine, that will be six thousand dollars please.

Fun is clearly in the eye of the beholder. But you can't beat peace of mind. ("Ignorance is bliss" may be a good tactic for IRAs these days, for example, but not for long-term health.)
Yeah! That's worth 6 grand!!! :)
Really? 6K? This baffles me.
